AllKids Coverage of Lower-Income Children

Illinois's AllKids programs provides healthcare coverage to about 71% of Illinois children in families with low to modest income – and 41% of all the state's children.

The state's Department of Healthcare and Family Services, which administers the program, reports that 1.2 million children are enrolled in AllKids. This represents 71% of those children who are eligible based on family income.
